Sending a reminder from the tasks tab

Where it lives

Open the loan, go to the Tasks tab, and choose Send Reminder.

What changed

The panel now opens on the reminder you most often want, and it only offers disclosure reminders that make sense for where the loan actually is.

  • Outstanding Tasks Notification is the default whenever the borrower has open tasks, so the common case is one click.
  • Initial disclosure reminders appear only once initial disclosures have been provided on that loan.
  • The closing disclosure reminder appears only once the closing disclosure has been sent.
  • Every send starts fresh. After a reminder goes out the panel returns to its default, so a template picked for one borrower is never left selected for the next.

The list of available reminders tells you something

Because the disclosure options are now tied to the loan's real state, their absence is information. If the initial disclosure reminder is not offered, the loan does not show initial disclosures as provided — worth checking before you chase the borrower.

If the reminder goes out and nothing happens

A reminder only reaches the borrower if notification emails are switched on for your site. When reminders and other automated emails stop arriving for a whole team rather than one borrower, the site's email notifications may be off; support can confirm from the email log whether a message actually went. See article 05.

Reminders are not the only route

The invite and e-consent links can be copied from the People page and sent to the borrower directly by text or personal email, which is often faster than a second reminder.
