# The Spanish application from start to finish

## Where it lives

Your Spanish application link — the same one you already use. Nothing needs switching on and there is no separate site.

## What changed

Borrowers, co-borrowers and loan officers who start from the Spanish link now see Spanish on **every** step, not only in the questions.

- **Buttons** are translated throughout. The loan officer's Spanish application no longer shows an English **Continue** button partway down.
- **Section titles** such as **Declaraciones** are translated across both the borrower and co-borrower applications.
- **Hints, progress indicators and validation messages** are in Spanish.
- **Demographic options** — the race options in the government monitoring (HMDA) section display in Spanish, and the borrower's answer is saved correctly.

## Why that last point is the important one

The HMDA answers were the part worth fixing. A borrower choosing from options they could not read is a data-quality problem on a regulated section of the file, not just an inconvenience. If you have Spanish-speaking borrowers who completed that section before this release, those answers are worth a look.

## Taking the application yourself

If you start an application on a borrower's behalf from the Spanish link, you now get the Spanish interface throughout as well. If you would rather work in English while the borrower reads Spanish, use the English link and let the borrower continue from their own invite.

## The mobile app

The mobile app follows the phone's own language setting, with Spanish on key screens including the loan list, the loan dashboard and Tasks. That is separate from which application link you send.
