Version 3.9 gives every task on a loan its own view, with a comments thread attached. Clicking a task row now opens that task rather than simply expanding it, so this is the first thing most loan teams will notice.
Where it is
Open the loan, go to the Tasks tab, and click anywhere on a task row. The Task Details panel opens on the right of the screen. Every task also has its own full page with a link you can send to a colleague.
Reading the task row
Every row carries a paperclip count for attachments and a comment count. Clicking either one opens the task on its matching tab, so you can go straight to the file or straight to the thread. A long task name is truncated on the row and shown in full when you hover over it.
The row actions are grouped under Approval, Chat and Manage, so the action you want is found by what you are trying to do rather than by hunting a flat menu.
What it shows
The task's name, type, status and due date run along the top, with Details, Submission and Comments in tabs below. Borrowers and the loan team work from the same view, so a task can be completed and reviewed without leaving the list.
Comments
The Comments tab works like a chat. The message box stays pinned at the bottom, the thread scrolls above it and opens on the newest comment, and every comment shows who wrote it. Comments are written directly in the tab rather than in a separate pop-up. A borrower comment generates a notification to the loan team, which is the usual explanation for an unexpected task comment email — see article 53, identifying which emails come from the POS.
Consistent side panels
Add Task, Edit Task, Import from Template and editing a task awaiting registration all open in the same side panel as Task Details, with Cancel and Save always visible at the bottom.
One way to add a task
Add Task is now the single route to creating a task. The borrower list covers registered borrowers and those still to register. Import from Template takes several templates at once with one optional due date, and leaves out templates the borrower already has.
Borrowers who have not yet registered appear in these lists only where Pre-Borrower Tasks is turned on for your account. See article 45.
