# Branch level AI control

**Requires a BIG AI contract.** If BIG AI is not active on your account, this feature will not appear.

An **AI Assistant** toggle decides whether AI runs for a given site, so a corporate account can pilot AI on one branch and leave the rest untouched.

## Where to find it

Admin portal → **Features**.

## How it behaves

- **Per-site and inherited** — set it at corporate, branch, or loan officer level. Sites that do not set it follow their parent.
- **Covers background work too** — with AI off for a site, documents uploaded to that site's loans are not sent for classification at all.
- **No change unless you set it** — the toggle starts unset everywhere, which resolves to enabled. Every account behaves exactly as it did until an admin changes it.

## Planning a pilot

Set the toggle off at corporate, then on for the single branch you are piloting. Because the setting inherits downward, you do not need to touch every loan officer site individually.

Remember that turning AI off for a site also stops background document classification there, which is usually what you want during a pilot but will make that branch's document screens look different from the pilot branch's.
